From cheating heartbreak to a happy ending: Ronan Keating’s ex-wife Yvonne Connolly marries her partner after 14 years — with traffic chaos forcing the bride to ditch a Rolls Royce and rush onto the subway as nine children look on

Yvonne Connolly has officially found her happy ending — and this time, it came with a dash through New York traffic, a subway sprint, and nine children watching it all unfold.

The 52-year-old TV presenter, best known as the ex-wife of Boyzone star Ronan Keating, has married her fiancé of 14 years, John Conroy, in a romantic ceremony in Central Park. But this was no ordinary wedding — it was a full-blown celebration of a blended family built over more than a decade.

Yvonne, who shares three children — Jack, Missy and Ali — with Ronan, stood proudly alongside her kids, while John’s six children also took part in the ceremony. All nine children formed part of the wedding party, dressed in coordinated black outfits, turning the day into a powerful symbol of unity.

Taking to Instagram after the ceremony, Yvonne poured her heart out as she reflected on the moment she finally said “I do” to the man she calls the love of her life. She shared that she married the love of her life in New York City, surrounded by their nine children, adding that tears of joy had been shed as their true love was celebrated after 14 years together. She described John as the most beautiful, kind, funny, intelligent and talented man, saying she felt blessed to now call him her husband and ended with a heartfelt “here’s to forever”.

The ceremony itself had all the glamour of a dream wedding — with Yvonne stunning in a gown by Irish designer Róisín Linnane — but it wasn’t without drama.

In a twist that could only happen in New York, the bride revealed that gridlocked traffic nearly derailed the big moment. Forced to abandon a vintage Rolls Royce en route to the ceremony, Yvonne and her party jumped out of the car and ran for the subway to make it to Central Park on time. She later laughed that it couldn’t have been more New York, admitting she felt like a million dollars and was bursting with happiness despite the chaos.

Adding a personal touch to the day, Yvonne revealed that her daughter Missy had taken on the role of wedding planner, orchestrating what she described as the perfect celebration — even with the unexpected hiccup along the way.

The wedding marks a full-circle moment for Yvonne, whose past heartbreak once made headlines. She was married to Ronan Keating from 1998 after a whirlwind romance, but their relationship came to a painful end in 2011 following his affair with backing dancer Francine Cornell.

At the time, Yvonne reportedly discovered the betrayal after finding messages on a secret phone, and although she briefly gave the singer a second chance, the marriage ultimately collapsed.

Now, more than a decade later, she has rebuilt her life — and found lasting love with John, a cameraman turned cinematographer whom she began dating two years after her split from Ronan.

Reflecting on their relationship in earlier years, Yvonne once admitted they were completely and absolutely in love, even while balancing busy lives, separate homes, and a large blended family. She explained that there was no neediness between them, as they supported each other while maintaining their independence.

And now, after 14 years together, that enduring love story has finally been sealed — not with perfection, but with real-life chaos, laughter, and a subway ride that made it all unforgettable.
