Heartbreaking Update! Towie’s Jordan Brook Suffers Seizures That Are Hindering His Recovery From Meningitis, While Pregnant Sophie Kasaei Can Only Cling to Hope
Towie star Jordan Brook has shared a deeply worrying update from hospital, revealing that seizures have now become a regular part of his battle against viral meningitis and encephalitis.
The 31-year-old reality star, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Sophie Kasaei, has been in hospital for nearly two weeks after first falling seriously ill with what doctors initially described as a mystery condition. He has since been diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis — two dangerous illnesses that cause inflammation around the brain and its lining.

In a heartbreaking message posted from his hospital bed on day 13 of his stay, Jordan told fans that his recovery had become even more difficult. He said, “Sadly seizures have taken over on a regular basis as my brain is trying to heal. Anti seizure meds added. Road home feeling long but I will get there. The fight goes on. One day at a time.”
Jordan has been keeping followers updated throughout the terrifying ordeal, after being rushed to hospital earlier this month. Since then, he has undergone a series of major tests, including CT scans, MRI lumbar scans and lumbar punctures, as doctors worked to understand the cause of his condition.

Over the weekend, he spoke candidly in an emotional video from his hospital bed, explaining the full extent of his diagnosis. Jordan said it was the first time he had been strong enough to properly talk about what was happening, adding, “I’ve been diagnosed with not one but two joining viruses that are attacking a similar part of my body. I have got viral meningitis and encephalitis together.”
He went on to explain just how serious the situation had become, saying, “That’s the inflammation of the brain and the lining around it. So this isn’t something small or minor.” Jordan also revealed he had been receiving IV treatment, antiviral medication, pain management, physio and seizure monitoring in an effort to control the symptoms and reduce the risk of further episodes.
But in one of the most alarming parts of his update, the star admitted that the swelling on his brain had been getting worse, making even ordinary daily tasks feel incredibly hard. He said it had been “really, really tough” to cope with basic activities as his body continues trying to fight back.

Amid the fear and uncertainty, Jordan has been supported by pregnant girlfriend Sophie Kasaei, who has spoken openly about the emotional toll of watching him suffer. After finally being allowed to see him in hospital, Sophie shared a moving message about how quickly life had changed for them.
She wrote that life can change “in the blink of an eye,” adding, “One minute you’re dreaming about your future together… and the next, you’re sitting in a hospital room, holding onto hope with everything you have.” She also admitted that watching the man she loves in pain and fear — while being unable to take that pain away — was one of the hardest things she had ever faced.
In the same emotional post, Sophie reflected on the fact that she is carrying their baby through this nightmare, describing the unborn child as “the tiniest piece of us” and a reminder that even in the darkest moments, life is still growing and still holding on.
For now, Jordan remains in hospital as he continues his frightening fight back to health — with seizures, swelling on the brain and an uncertain recovery still standing in his way.
